We are looking for a full-time Senior Full Stack Developer with at least 5 years of software development experience having a focus on front-end & back-end development (2-5 years experience in React.JS, Node.JS). The candidate will develop new application features and maintain existing ones, someone who is comfortable with both front and back end programming. This position requires experience in making decisions and working both independently and as part of a small, dynamic team where everything the candidate does makes a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate requirements, schedules, and activities; contribute to team meetings; and troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
- Support and develop other developers providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities
- Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
- Define web architectures and solutions from business requirements, produce estimates and timeline, and manage delivery against those plans
- Design client-side and server-side architecture
- Work with others to ensure adherence to code standards and best practices
- Produce reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and responsive applications
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performance applications
- Write effective APIs
- Implement secure by-design standards including data protection
- Integrate data storage solutions
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
- Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
- Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
- Identify and correct bottlenecks as well as fix bugs
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Create security and data protection settings
- Exhibit excellent communications skills and engage in technical discussions with peers becoming a trusted, technical advisor
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
- Experience writing unit tests
- 2+ years of development using React.js
- Experience working with remote data via REST / JSON
- Familiarity with common stacks
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Node.js)
- Strong understanding of relational databases, web servers and UI/UX design
- Experience with web and application servers
- Strong background with testing strategies—both manual and automated
- Experience with source control systems—specifically Git
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Excellent English communication skills
